I'm just a regular girl...
So, that sounds cheesy but it's true! I'm 26 years old, I've been married for almost 9 years to my College Sweetheart. He's amazing and I seriously wouldn't have gotten this far in my business without him! I have 4 kids under 8 (yes, I got pregnant at 17). When we were deciding on names, we landed on Scarlet, Averie, Ezra and Ruth. We like them old names.
For the most part of our marriage, we decided it would be best if I stayed at home with the kids but as they got older, we felt like God was calling us to homeschool! What a crazy rollercoaster of a ride that has been. I definitely have no regrets though. I get to spend all day with my precious children! I once heard someone say that you only get 18 summers with your children... boy, is that ever true.
In 2018, my sister in law introduced me to Lipsense and I, honestly didn't believe her! I realized I had some serious trust issues since although it said it would last 4-18 hours, I'd constantly ask my husband if it was still on (or was it smudged all over the place). I'd go on a date with him, we'd eat the usual (steak, mashed potatoes, saucy Caesar salad, gravy, and all the trimmings) and I'd come home, go to bed, wake up and STILL HAVE MY LIPSENSE ON.
For the first few months, I, for the most part, kept Senegence a secret apart from a few friends here and there. But, after about a year of using these products, I decided to jump in and start my own business! I called it Flourish, because in the beauty industry, women are bombarded with what "is true beauty" and put loads of makeup on (which is full of lead and animal byproducts) to be beautiful. I wanted a place where women can go to ask questions about the insecurities they have about their skin or how to apply makeup and get there answers. I wanted this to be a place where you can learn and grow about yourself! I have tons of tips and tricks that I would love to share with you on how to properly apply makeup (and not take an hour to do it). Let me tell you, I can talk all day about how Senegence products has helped me. But, the biggest thing it helped me overcome was putting makeup on ( I know that sounds simple) but I avoided "primping" myself because I didn't like being noticed or getting compliments so I would never put anything on except maybe some lip balm and mascara. I have changed so much in how I view myself thanks to Senegence products. I didn't realize that in me "avoiding" to primp myself, I was avoiding loving myself. I'd wear an oversized t-shirt, put my hair in a bun and not look at myself in the mirror.
I'm definitely not that girl anymore, but still feel like I have a way to go. I definitely feel more confident in my own skin, though! I want you to feel the same way, and I'd love to help with any questions you might have. Message me here on Instagram so that we can connect further! Or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
